Other Ways to Give

Become a sponsor specifically for an upcoming exhibit or program. Your donation will mean WHM can get world class speakers for events, or state of the art exhibit cases to house our precious artifacts for optimal viewing.

About Our Programs!

The Watertown History Museum has many diverse programs throughout the year. The pictures shown are just a small portion. Fan favorites are historical performers, Sheryl Faye and Kandi Carle!

We also offer hands-on workshops, author talks, and group tours for early learning school students to lifelong learning adults.

About Our Exhibits!

The museum’s galleries are packed with the rich history of Watertown. Each exhibit tells a different story about what makes us…us! From our military actions to business endeavors, and everything in between. There is always a story to be told through our wonderful artifacts.

Not only does the Watertown Museum use its own collection, we also use loans from the community. This year, our galleries are currently hosting our first fully loaned exhibit: Watertown Foundation: 100 Years of Service.

The putting together of all of our beautiful exhibits would not be possible without our amazing team of volunteers; from building the display cases to strategically placing each item inside.

We know times are tough and many families are struggling to get even basic necessities. We know you would like to help, but just don’t have the extra cash. That is why the Watertown History Museum has partnered with a few local grocery stores for charitable donations. This way you can grocery shop for your family and help the museum! It’s a win-win! Read below to learn more.

Labonne’s Cash for Charities
Save your LaBonne’s Market receipts and place them in a ziplock bag. Drop them off in the mailbox at the Museum (401 Main Street). Through their “Cash for Charities” programs, LaBonne’s donates to the Watertown History Museum based on the total of the receipts we submit. The more you shop, the more the Museum earns!

Stop & Shop Give Back Bags
For every Give Back reusable bag sold during a pre-selected month (TBA), the Watertown History Museum will receive a $1 donation. Help support the museum and save the planet! It’s a win-win!

When it is not the museum’s selected month, you can still participate! With the new “Giving Tag” portion of the Give Back Bag program, you can support the museum all year round!
Simply scratch off the tag to reveal a 6-letter code (no numbers). Then go to the website listed on the tag (https://mystopandshopcause.bags4mycause.com/) and fill out the form. And that’s it! $1 will then be donated to the Watertown History Museum.
