Resources for Research

Are you doing some genealogy research about your family or another popular family in town? Are you a student (or just a lifelong learner) looking for more information on a particular subject of Watertown’s history? The Watertown History Museum is more than happy to help!

Listed below are books, both genealogical and historical, that the Watertown History Museum holds in its collection. Some of these can be found online and have been linked accordingly. If it isn’t linked but you would like to come take a look at them, please feel free to email or call the museum to make arrangements.

In 2023, we hosted a lecture about Connecticut’s Civilian Conservation Corps. If a relative of yours was a part of the CCC and you would like to learn more, please use the instructions below to retrieve those records from the military. Thanks again to our guest speaker, Martin Podskoch, for supplying us with these instructions.
